My professional background includes earning his B.S. and M.Ed. in Physical Education. I competed in collegiate tennis during my studies. I am a contributor to the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) whom published my book, The Physical Education Revolution.
In tennis coaching I hold USPTR, GreatBase Tennis, and several other credentials. I was named the PIAA Tennis Coach of the Year in 2020 and have received the same award from the USTA AMD. I have held professional coaching positions at area clubs until creating my own business to train players year-round. In addition to private training, I coach the Boys & Girls Tennis Teams at Fox Chapel Area High School and run a very active Summer Tennis Camp.
I feel most fortunate to have been mentored by many great coaches throughout my life including Chuck Kriese. I maintain a hunger for learning and improving to this day.

Hello Alex,
I have an almost 5 yr. old boy who I believe would love to learn tennis. He’s tall and big and pretty darn coordinated for his age. Also, he’s got energy to burn. Got your name off of a friend and wondered if you worked with kids that young? Do you teach in a class or on an individual basis? If so, what are the costs? Get back to me at your convenience! Thanks! –Tina T.
Hi Alex, are you taking on new adult clients?
Unfortunately this winter my schedule is completely full with the kids I have been working with. Reach back out in the summer when I have more time in my schedule.
Alex
I live very close to fox chapel high school. I have my own tennis court. I have 2 kids, 9 and 14. Would you coach them using my court?
I will reach out personally.
